Sunday to Monday / God's Invitation is for You

“Our goal is to create a beloved community and this will require a qualitative change in our souls as well as a quantitative change in our lives.”

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

We gathered for worship as we do each Sunday to proclaim the Good News that God's inviting us to a great banquet in the Kingdom and all we need to do is RSVP! As Jesus taught in his parables in Luke 14: 12-24, there's room for all of us. We are beautifully welcomed by our Father, the host who desires us to be there. We can be the faithful servant inviting those who don't think they're worthy. We can quit making excuses and just say "Yes" to God's invitation.

Did we miss you? Watch the service here. Prayers of the day here

Don't miss these Summer Events coming up!

For your devotional, reflection and conversations this week:

  • What excuses to you give to God for living out your faith? How might you pray to turn those excuses around and accept God’s invitation?
  • Who is in and who is out in God’s Kingdom? Why do you think so? Reflect on what Jesus thinks in Luke 14:12-24.
  • How might radical hospitality transform our world? How can you be a blessing in your everyday life?
  • How do you imagine the Great Banquet will look and feel?
  • Looking ahead to next week: Can science and faith co-exist?
