Sunday to Monday | Global Friendships

On Sunday we were blessed to have GGCC participant Mary McManigle join Pastor Dave as she talked about her travels to Kenya on a Habitat for Humanity build and what she learned about the difference between helping and serving.

Some questions to think about this week:

  • Do Samaritans exist today? Are there people you or others do not like based on nationality, race or spiritual belief? (John 4:1-30
  • Have you ever visited a foreign country? How were your stereotypes torn down? How were relationships made?
  • If you were to ask someone you do not like to help you by meeting a need you had how might that affect your relationship? (John 4:7,8) Has this happened in your life?
  • Jesus knew everything about the women at the well. (John 4:17,18) Jesus did not reject her based on “transgressions,” rather he invited her into a relationship with him. How does this transform the way you look at others?
  • The woman is captured by curiosity over Christ. She runs into her village and asks others to “come and see.” How might you this week share curiosity for Christ by inviting another to “come and see Jesus?”
