Sunday to Monday / Fishing for People

“Do you know God’s address? It is at the end of your rope.”

~ Unknown

Yesterday, Pastor Dave taught about Matt 4:12-23. It's the story of Jesus withdrawing to spend time with God, then moving out into community and calling the disciples and then moving out into the world to teach and heal. How do we spend time with God, those in close relationships and with the world? How do we share the Good News of Jesus' mercy? Our best evangelism tool is to share the story of "I used to be like this... but now, because of Jesus, I'm like this..."

Take these thoughts and messages into your week for reflection and conversation.

  • What is the purpose of life?
  • When have you felt the “Kingdom of God Come Near”? (see Matthew 4:12-23 for reflection)
  • What would real evangelism look like to you? The authentic sharing of Jesus’ love.
  • Looking ahead to next week: How does God go about blessing?
