Sunday to Monday | Fishing

Our deepest calling is to grow into our authentic selfhood.

– Parker J. Palmer

Yesterday we gathered to worship, praise, thank and listen to God's Word and to celebrate God's grace and invitation. We dug into the story from Luke 5:1-11 where Jesus teaches, produces a miracle catch of fish and invites the disciples to follow him. Jesus changed the metaphor from shepherd to fisher. Jesus doesn't ask us to do something entirely new, but to do everything with him. And, we are the bait! That makes all the difference. If you missed being with us, watch here. Pray with us here

Thoughtful questions and curated links for your week's devotions, reflection and conversations:

  • How might God be asking to make use of your life?
  • Do you hear God inviting you to go deeper? Where? What are you going to do about it?
  • Have you ever done anything purely because God asked you to? Are you willing to? What might God be asking you to do?
  • Looking ahead to next week: Why do you travel? Why visit different cities and states?
