Sunday to Monday / Father's Day Reflections

It was a great day of worship and celebrating fathers, the important men in our lives and our Heavenly Father. Pancakes were enjoyed by all!  Click here to see pictures of yesterday's worship.

Reflections and discussion starters for your conversations this week over coffee, in the car, at a meal or just hanging out.

  • Read 2 Corinthians and reflect upon it.
  • Does the modern church have enough people with “rough edges”? Who is the “whosoever” in John 3:16,17?
  • Do we share the(metaphorical or literal?) “kiss of Christ, with the saints …” enough? Are we as united as Jesus envisions we might be? How might we gain greater unity? (2 Corinthians 13:11-13)
  • Does the word “father” offer feelings of unity in Christ or separation? Let us pray that the image of the Heavenly Father grows within each of us claiming us evermore in the identity as children of God.
  • Looking ahead to next Sunday: Would you agree with this definition of repentance? Repentance is whatever it takes to get you to come home. What is it that gets you to repent? Read Luke 15.
