Sunday to Monday | Do Something

“I have a dream today..."  Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

It's Martin Luther King, Jr Day and yesterday we learned much about what Dr. King has to teach us from Ron Mitchell. We're not where Dr. King dreamed we might be, so there's work to be done. Thank you Ron for the challenge. If you missed it, you can watch here

Don't miss these upcoming events.

  • "Souper" Bowl Sunday.  Donate soup and other non-perishable foods for The Gathering Place.  Bring to church Jan 27 & Feb. 3
  • Do you know a furloughed govt employee or contractor? Next Sunday, pick up a $20 King Soopers gift card from RTB to share with them.
  • Bingo at The Gathering Place, Mon, Feb. 4
  • Memphis, TN/Booneville, MS Trip, Fri, Feb. 8 - Sun, Feb. 10
  • Third Thursday at Open Door, Thurs, Feb.21
  • Congregational Advance with Eric Swanson, Sat, Feb, 23
  • Annual Congregational Gathering & Celebration, Sun, Feb. 24

Take the message into your week's devotions, reflections and conversations.

  • How have Dr. King’s teachings impacted you?
  • Do you think nonviolence is always the appropriate response? What did Jesus think?
  • In what ways are you prejudiced? How can you pray for more compassion and empathy?
  • Looking ahead to next week: What is the point of worship? See Luke 4:14-21 for further reflection.
