Sunday to Monday / Come to the Water

For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord.
Isaiah 55:8

Yesterday was a great day of celebrating the free gifts of God named in Isaiah 55

The VBS shared their mantra: God loves us, each other! And we saw the love they shared -- birthday bags for the food bank and welcome back treats for some of the RCHS staff.  Click here to see photos from the VBS.

Worship was great; click here for photos from the morning.

The day culminated with the House Concert with Dave Edwards and Ed Edwards at Pastor Dave and Amy's home. Beautiful day with incredible music, good food and fun fellowship.  Click here to see those photos.

Much love was shared with our ministry partner, Paris Elementary School in Aurora.  Funds and backpacks and supplies were given.  At the concert, $282 was donated and Dave Edwards donated 50% of the sales of his CD's for another $200. Thanks be to God!

Here are discussion and reflections starters for your week.

  • Where do you turn when you want to break out of the norm? What do you do?
  • Read Isaiah 55. What are your reflections?
  • How have you seen the unpredictable nature of God? (Isaiah 55:8)
  • Give thanks that God believes in you. Pray to have passion to follow Jesus. Offer your time as an investment in the relationship Jesus offers you.
  • Looking ahead to next week: “If you want to walk on water, you will need to get out of the boat.”-John Ortberg. Who wants to step out? (Matthew 14:22-33). There is a generation watching to see if the faith is real enough to us that we dare to do it.
