Sunday to Monday / Christ is Risen!

Christ is Risen!

Christ is Risen Indeed!

Resurrection blessings to take into your week.

  • Read John 20:1-18 and reflect upon the power of the resurrection in your life.
  • When was the last time you risked the vulnerability the first people who rushed to the empty tomb showed? What was lost (shame, fear, struggle, worth), what was perhaps gained (joy, creativity, belonging and love)? The resurrection says you’ll never stop at loss, Jesus’ power leads to gain.
  • Pray each day that Jesus grows deeper in faith within you. A faith based on grace, worthiness and belonging.
  • Pray to let yourself be seen deeply, to love with your whole heart, to practice gratitude, and to know now you are worthy of the risen Jesus’ love. You belong to God!

  • Easter isn’t over today! As Christians, we celebrate the Resurrection each Sunday and every day through the year. Read different versions of the Easter story each day this week – in children’s Bibles and storybooks.
  • Share the resurrection story with a sweet treat and a magic candle: http://www.vibrantfaithathome.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=139:easter-cupcakes&catid=110:bible-story&Itemid=762&acm=2241_128

Here’s an activity that takes you outdoors for creative prayer as you notice the new life springing forth in God’s creation. http://www.vibrantfaithathome.org/when-life-happens/celebrate/family-faith/young-family/easter-cupcakes/82-young-family/135-prayer-plots
