Sunday to Monday | Changing Hearts and Lives

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9

We gathered for worship to remember that God's ways are not our ways - and that's good news! God is the God of second chances, more time and free grace. But, we can get in on receiving God's grace when we change our hearts and lives toward God and neighbor. God says come - all who are thirsty and all who are hungry. We heard Wendy's faith story and challenge of generosity that was authentic and moving. If you were unable to be with us, you can watch here. Pray with us here

Take the message into your week's conversations, reflection and devotions:

  • How are God’s ways different from yours?
  • When have you been given a second chance? When have you given (or withheld) a second chance?
  • What does it mean to repent?
  • What true change do you need to wrestle with that will help bring about God’s kingdom on earth?
  • Looking ahead to next week: How do you stay present?
