Sunday to Monday/ Sacred Words

“Blessed are those…”  Matthew 5

Yesterday was All Saints Sunday. It was a day to remember and reflect on those who are no longer with us, but have had a huge impact on our faith and our lives. Pastor Dave taught from the Beatitudes, Matthew 5 and Pastor Dave, Pastor Milt, Jim, Diana, Zach and Claudia shared about their spiritual mentors.

If you missed it watch here. Pray with us over the names of our saints or the prayers of the day.

See photos from Worship & the Fall Fair.

Take yesterday's message into your week.

  • When you read the beatitudes Matthew 5:1-12 what words or thoughts stand out?
  • Martin Luther the church reformer of the 1500’s said that each of us is simultaneously a saint and a sinner. He defined a saint as forgiven sinner. Who are the sinners and saints who have blessed you?
  • Who is the living saint(s) who has blessed you? Is Christ is tugging upon your heart to reach out and share gratitude with some person(s)?
  • Looking ahead to next week: If you could ask any random teenager a theological question what would it be?
