Sunday to Monday | Be Content in Covenant

God of the covenant,
you are ever faithful.
Your love never ends.
Teach us your ways.
And guide us in your paths of love and forgiveness,
that we may witness to your grace and salvation.

On Sunday, the title of Vikki’s sermon was “Be Content in Covenant.”
Bible text was from Genesis 9:8-17; Mark 1:9-15 and Psalm 25:1-10. Vikki reminded us that it is often in our “wilderness times” that our relationships with God are strengthened and our faith affirmed.

Below are some questions to think about as you move into your week…

• What does “covenant” mean to you?  Who are you in covenant with? God made a covenant with you         (Genesis 9:8-15), what does that mean for your life?

• Are you in the wilderness, in the valley or on the mountaintop right now?  How does where you are right now affect your relationship with God?

• Psalm 25 is a prayer for deliverance.  Read verses 1-10.  How might these words be your prayer for following Jesus this Lenten season and beyond?

• What significance does Lent have in your life?  What might you do for these days leading up to Easter to grow your relationship with Jesus?  Take some time to visit the “Lent Links & Resources” page on for devotionals and ideas for learning more about the season of Lent and starting a practice.
