Sunday to Monday / Apple of God's Eye

The last Sunday in Advent we celebrated Joseph's faithfulness in crisis to head a family he didn't create and remembered God's faithfulness to us in times of crisis.  We heard God's words from Psalm 17:8 and Deuteronomy 32:10 that we are the "apple of God's eye".

As we prepare for Jesus to be born anew in our hearts and our lives, here are some reflection questions and links to consider.

  • If God comes to you today, with a vision like Joseph received: How will you respond? (Matthew 1:18-25)
  • Life was not going to be as Joseph had dreamed. How has God worked through your broken dreams? What broken dreams do you pray Jesus will work through right now?
  • Do you live like you are the “apple of God’s eye”?  Remind yourself and someone else today of the status we each have with God. (Psalm 17:8, Deuteronomy 32:10)
  • Pray for all who mourn the Arapahoe shooting.  Let us ask God to once again give birth to new life on the other side of shattered dreams.
