Sunday to Monday/ An Awe-full God
“Be thankful for the smallest blessing, and you will deserve to
receive greater. Value the least gifts no less than the greatest, and
simple graces as especial favors. If you remember the dignity of the
Giver, no gift will seem small or mean, for nothing can be valueless
that is given by the most high God.” – Thomas à Kempls
On Sunday, Pastor Dave's sermon was entitled “Let Us Be Thankful for
an Awe-Full God.” Text was from
Psalm 138, Matthew 6:25-34, and Luke 17:11-19.
Some questions to think about as you begin your week...
• Do you tend to worry too much? What might Jesus’ words in Matthew
6:25-34 be telling you?
• When was the last time you were filled with “Awe” over what God has
done? (Psalm 138). Did you stop to give thanks?
• Are most people like the nine who did not give thanks or like the one
who did? (Luke 17:11-19)
• For one week write down a blessing God gives you each day. Thank God
for it, and share it with someone else. You will begin to view the
world with a difference lens.
