Sunday to Monday / A Mom's Love

“I am the Lord your God”
~Exodus 20:2

It was a good Mother's Day at GGCC! We celebrated all the women who nurture us and share God's compassionate love with us and the world. Pastor Dave shared his personal story of grieving his mom, Beverly who left for her eternal rest last November 2nd. Beverly taught her sons that the Ten Commandments were the foundation for a good life and taught them well.

The worship space was filled with 40 flowering plants that were purchased in honor of / memory of moms, grandmas, aunts, and special women. Click here to see photos.

Blessings for your week.

  • How often do the 10 commandments come into play in your day? (see Exodus 20:1-17 for further reflection)
  • What is the greatest gift your mother gave you? Offer thanks. What is the largest wound your mother left you with? Pray for healing.
  • When you “stop and remember” this Mother’s Day what comes to mind?
  • If asked on an elevator, “Explain to me what the Holy Spirit is?” what do you say?
