On Sunday, Pastor Dave reminded us that not all surprises are good. It takes a good deal of faith to “traverse the path with flexibility.”      As we approach Christmas, let’s not forget Joseph in the story…He had a different “dad’s dream” than most.

Some questions to ponder…

· When was the last time you accepted a surprise from God?

· How would you have reacted to Joseph’s surprise (Matthew 1:18-25)?  Would you have left Mary (Matthew 1:19)?

· Would you have had the faith to obey the Angel (Matthew 1:24)?

· What is the biggest surprise to ever intrude into your life? Do you look back and see God in your biggest surprise?
