Sunday to Monday | A Future Without Fear

What does it mean to be cut down? To be in a state of feeling like a stump? Dead for all intents and purposes?

Isaiah 11:1 promises that God will send a shoot out of Jesse’s stump.  The days of hope and new life are on the way according to Jeremiah 33:14.  We need not live in fear for in God we have a future.

Here are some questions to guide you through the week:

  • When have you experienced a righteous Branch for God? (Jeremiah 33:15)
  • When you spend some time on the image of “the tree” of God in your life, what messages do you receive? (Luke 21:29)
  • Isaiah 11:1 talks of a “…branch that will shoot out of a stump of Jesse (father of King David)…”  Do you have any places in your life where you feel lifeless like a stump? What do you hope God will do for you? One Branch of hope healing and resurrection love is all that’s necessary to save a life.
  • How will you be used by God in this moment to be a “Branch” of God to the generations?
