Can't serve during the day? You can still be involved in GGCC's ministry to the Gathering Place.  The need is urgent this summer.  Betsy's Cupboard which supplies women and children with necessary food and toiletries is running out.  Without donations they will be turned away.  Items needed are large size bags of rice, pasta, cans of tuna and chicken, juice, coffee, tea and sugar, peanut butter, canned soups, vegetable and fruit, pasta and sauce, whole grain cereal and powdered or canned milk, granola or protein bars.  Place in a bag/box and bring to church on Sunday. Also needed are $5.00 gift cards from Walmart or Walgreens to be given  away as prizes for Bingo.

Denver Rescue Mission Family & Senior Homeless Initiative

The Denver Rescue Mission Family & Senior Homeless Initiative (FSHI) gives displaced families hope by providing them with the tools needed to achieve stability.  Adopted by Mayor Hickenlooper as part of Denver's 10-year plan to end homelessness, FSHI supplies participants with first month's rent and deposit, while also matching them with a mentor team from a local congregation.  Since its inception in 2005, through mentor guidance on finances, parenting job readiness skills, and relationship issues, over 700 hurting families have been empowered by this unique program, with 89% of participants maintaining their housing one year later.
