Seeking God

Sometimes circumstances can turn bad in the blink of an eye. Things will not always go your way. Those things can even seem like they get worse and worse. A lot of times our first thoughts are how we can get out of the situation and we think about how we regret what happens. A lot of times we forget to address that it did happen and we forget to address God in the situation.

My grandfather always told me, “Every difficult situation in life is a character building experience”. And I really take that to heart whenever something difficult tries to block my path. It isn’t an omen that makes you sit idle and pretend it isn’t there. It is an opportunity to grow. Especially in these tough times with natural disasters, shootings, etc. it is even more important to learn and to grow. Without people building character from hard experiences and encounters, no one would ever make progress. So, consider something that is bringing you or a loved one down and think about how to accept it and grow from it.

We tend to look at the sad things in a challenging situation and we tend to not seek out aid. But, no matter the circumstance, God is there. Whether you find God in another person, prayer, or some sort of personal relaxation, doesn’t matter. God is always there in your corner helping you fight and helping you get off the ropes so you can handle whatever you need to handle. People often forget that you don’t need a large sign saying everything is going to be okay. It is all the little bread crumbs that lead you to God and lead you to progression in a tough situation.

This week let somebody know that they can find God no matter what. Whether they are in pain or just seem to be struggling in life, assure them that growth can come from any situation and God will find them if they listen.
