Save the Date

Save the Date

I hear this catchy phrase every time a wedding comes up. It is important to save the date or remember the date. Last week, I went to a beautiful wedding in LA and it was great. The church is old but has beautiful charm. The banquet was at an Italian villa and the weather was absolutely perfect. Beautiful night, lights, setting, and laughter made the event so wonderful. But it reminded me of another date, my wedding date.

My wedding was so beautiful that it seemed like a piece of heaven was in the midst. My wonderful wife Claire looked so beautiful that I thought she was the most beautiful woman on Earth. I will never forget the way she looked that day wearing a gorgeous wedding dress and made up with a beautiful hair style. Almost every day I remember the way she looked that day. Yesterday was our second wedding anniversary. She is more beautiful every day and our love for each other grows every day. But it reminded me of another date, the day I got saved, accepting Christ as my Lord and Savior.

Do you remember the day you got saved? For me, it was 9/19/1985. It’s been almost 25 years being a Christian. I consider it being like married to Christ and God. The love for Christ and God should grow every day and you should find them more beautiful every day. It is so true. Through the hustle and bustle, Christ is the only thing that makes sense, giving such peace and joy. I rely on the daily devotion and the love God shows for me. We are blessed with many things and so is our church. We should cherish everything that we have. I am not saying that life in Christ is picture perfect every day, but if you see your Christian life from the start to now, you will see something so beautiful that it is like a painting no artist can create. Always remember ... God is with you and is beautiful and perfect.

In Christ,
Stan
