Acts 4:32-5:11

Acts 4:32  "All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had."

That's how it was for them, just like us (you and I). .. right. We are all "one in heart and mind"... at work, with our family, with ourselves... "one in heart and mind" right?

I find myself wondering who were these people, how did they do this? I even have problems being "one in heart and mind" with myself. And then it hits me. I'm not one in heart and mind with myself. And I ask myself, why? What am I afraid of?

There were some wild things going on in Acts and some of what they were saying and what happened makes me uncomfortable.

Acts 5:11 "Great fear seized the whole church and all who heard about these events."

That's true for me also sometimes, great fear seizes me and causes me to do strange things. What I am trying to realize, to practice, to pray for is that...Fear says you can be safe, Love says that you are safe. If I truly believe then whatever happens whatever I come across... I am safe in GOD's love. We, you and I, are safe in GOD's love! Fear not!

Precious Father, Loving GOD, Holy Spririt, Help us to know we don't have to worry about being safe. We are YOUR wonderful, loving, precious children and you keep us safe in your arms. Help us to let go of our fears! AMEN
