Resurrection Practice

Dear Resurrected,

Poet/farmer Wendell Berry talks about our need to “practice resurrection.” Instead of proclaiming resurrection,  Berry says we should practice resurrection by becoming an earnest of eternity, a foretaste of the future, offering our world hints of heaven here and now. He says we live in the, "plentitude and power of Christ's resurrection.” Let’s practice it.

I highly recommend reading a Wendell Berry book(s).   It is a blessing to let God speak to you through him.

Prayers: Ask God this week to come to a place in your life and the world where you trust that resurrection is needed NOW! Also keep in prayer Jude Delhierro whose mother died.

My mother Beverly’s favorite music group was The Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Trust that Christ the Lord is Risen Today, ….TODAY!

*We hope that all of you can make it to worship this Sunday to hear our guest preacher, the Rev. Gabe Jolly III from Hopewell Baptist near Booneville, Mississippi. * Following this Consecration Sunday service (which starts at 10:00am), will be a celebration luncheon which all are invited to attend.

See Luke 24 for further reflection of today’s message.

Still in One Peace,

Pastor David J. Jensen

It is appropriate time to make some plans for the future and it's time to be happy.
