Rejoice!

Today I rejoice and I invite everyone in the GGCC community to rejoice with me just as you have been discouraged with me.  As background, I was diagnosed with a congenital kidney disease in 1988 and received a kidney from my brother in July, 2018.   After the transplant surgery, my kidney function was not very high and then in October a virus began attacking the new kidney.  GGCC and many others have been praying for me and it has provided me God’s peace which “transcends all understanding”.  However, I just received incredible news from the Mayo Clinic that the virus has now been eliminated.  And more importantly and unrelated to the virus, is my kidney function has greatly improved.  The doctor told me she had never seen this virus defeated this quickly.  Lord Jesus – thank you for your healing touch!

I am reminded of the scripture passage:

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that testing of your faith develops perseverance.  Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:2-4
