Refresh Your Soul...

Refresh Your Soul Through Prayer

Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. Ephesians 6:18

We, who are one, and God who is three in one; in all places and at all times.

We are unsure, unable, and sometimes unwilling to do the things that lie before us. God is mighty, all-knowing and every great and powerful adjective you can think of and beyond.

When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. Psalm 56:3

We have been blessed with the gifts of God’s love, forgiveness, mercy, and grace. God is ready, willing and able to be there for us. All for the simple price of asking. What holds us back, makes us forget, allows us to be too busy? Stop, refocus and take time. Time to pray, time to enjoy the beauty of the world around you, time to lend a helping hand, intentionally providing some kind words or a smile, time for you, and time for God. Refresh your soul. Bask in the feeling of shalom, the complete peace and fulfillment that can be achieved only by spending time intentionally with God.

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26

Pray with your heart. Be intentional. Be direct. Ask God to help when things are wrong and thank God when things are great. Pray for those less fortunate than you and pray for your enemies. Know that you are a blessing and your prayers are a demonstration of that.

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. 1 Peter 5:7

Dear Heavenly Father, we ask that you be present when we pray, that our prayers might be heard and that our lives might be refreshed through the blessings you have provided. We ask for guidance to carry out your calling in a manner that is pleasing to you. We seek peace in our hearts and minds. We pray that our hearts are filled with gratitude for the blessings bestowed upon us. We ask this in your name, Amen.
