Press Your Case

Job 23:1-17 “Then Job replied: Even today my complaint is bitter; his hand is heavy in spite of my groaning. If only I knew where to find him; if only I could go to his dwelling! I would state my case before him and I would fill my mouth with arguments. I would find out what he would answer me, and consider what he would say. Would he oppose me with great power? No, he would not press charges against me. There an upright man could press his case against him, and I would be delivered forever from my judge.”

It’s lent, a season of reflection and preparation prior to Easter.

There are times I have groaned and felt like I had a heavy hand holding me down…

And I felt like there was nobody I could turn to… Nobody to share my pain, my agony.

As I reflect back on those times. I realize those times have passed. Oh, I know it will happen again, but during those times when I called out and cried and struggled and thought it would never end. Well, it ended.

Things are going to happen in our lives. Things happened in Job’s life. It’s a story about life and bad things happen when you live a long life, but everything will pass, maybe not the way we want, but they will pass.

Easter is coming! As John the Baptist said, Prepare ye the way of the Lord.

God was here, GOD is here, GOD will be here. Press your case to GOD in tears or in joy but press your case! GOD is listening, listening to you, listening for you.

Precious Father, Loving God, Holy Spirit I pray. I pray to feel you and see you in every breath I take. I pray Lord for you to help me alleviate my fears and I pray Lord for those that live in fear. AMEN!
