Praying the News

Have you watched the news lately? Doesn’t seem like too much good is happening except the random animal being rescued from tragedy.

What is one to do with all that is going on in the world today?

Well, that seems like a trite answer.

And yet…

I do want to intercede (lift up prayers on behalf of those in need), but where to begin?

Check out this resource: World in Prayer. Weekly prayers are written by a variety of people who bring the world’s events to us with prayer. It’s one way to speak up and give voice to the needs of God's children - our sisters and brothers around the world.

“Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.” Philippians 4:6

We’ll be looking for you tomorrow at 9:00 or 10:30 as we gather to praise God, to call upon God for the concerns of our hearts and the world, and to hear a word of the Good News.

Grace be with you,
