Peaceful Reflection...

In my December devotion, I encouraged you to bring to your consciousness and live out the words to a peaceful and popular Christmas song, Let There Be Peace on Earth.

Let there be peace on Earth. And, let it begin with me. Let there be peace on Earth, the peace that was meant to be…With God as our Father, brothers all are we. Let me walk with my brother in perfect harmony. Let peace begin with me, let this be the moment now…With every step I take, let this be my solemn vow—to take each moment, and live each moment in peace eternally. Let there be peace on Earth, and let it begin with me.

So, how’s it going? If you’re like me, it’s great to reflect. Many of us have resolved to do something or stop doing something in 2018. Contemplate. Ponder. Ruminate. Wonder.

What have you done…

  • To find peace?
  • To instigate peace?
  • To share peace?
  • To foster peace?
  • To live in peace?
  • To model peace?

Peace doesn’t mean complacency. Rather, think of it as an approach. We all get frustrated, disappointed, elated, knocked down, saddened, proud, and a host of other emotions. That’s human. As we are reminded in John 16:33 “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Yet, HOW we choose to show and share those emotions can be peaceful. Let the peace truly begin (and be) with you.

In God’s peace,

Tammy Heflebower
