Peaceful

Happy Easter to you and your family.
Easter, to me, is a peaceful time .
It is a time of renewal.
A time to start over.

Christ died for us.
He made us new by his suffering and his death.

I have never been good about resolutions, I break them almost every time.
But at Easter, we can begin, forgiven, blessed and at peace that Christ forgives us and allows us to start over.

I am reading a book called Fearless by Max Lucado.
In his book, he talks about the many things in our life that make us fearful. Some of them real, some of them imaginary and some of them just plain irrational.
As I begin my “new year,” I wanted to share a portion of the book that I am trying to live by.

1) Pray, first
2) Easy, now( slow down)
3) Act on it
4) Compile a worry list ( what really matters and what is worth worrying about )
5) Evaluate your worry categories( pray specifically about them)
6) Focus on today ( God meets daily needs daily)
7) Unleash a worry army ( share your feelings with loved ones and those your trust)
8) Let God be enough

I am trying to be PEACEFUL, and know that number 8 is enough.

God’s Peace to you, no matter what makes you fearful. Let God be enough.

Heavenly Father, gracious and loving God, thank you for your son Jesus Christ.
Thank you for his life, his death and his resurrection. Through Him, all things are possible.
Let us remember to be p e a c e f u l, and let us know that You are indeed enough. Amen
