Palm of His Hand

When you were a child what made you feel safe?  What’s one thing we instinctively do when we’re afraid?  The first thing that comes to my mind is holding hands.  We want to put our hand in the hand of someone we trust.  A hand to lead or guide.  A hand to make a connection and calm our fears.

In John 10:28, Jesus tells us that no one can snatch us from his hand.  We are his and he will do everything to protect us.  He is holding our hand -- in fact he is holding us in the palm of his hand.  There is no one and nothing that can separate us from him.

For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

What a week it’s been.  I’m ready for a new week to begin, how about you?  Join us tomorrow at 9 or 10:30 as together, we celebrate another Easter – a new day, a new beginning, a new resurrection from darkness.  And to remember that no one can snatch us from Jesus’ hand.

God bless you,
Vikki
