Outbound Ripples

“I know the plans I have for you,…plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope for the future.”  Jeremiah 29:11

The longer I live.  The longer I know the Lord.  The more I know God’s love is not a random thing given to a chosen few..  God’s love is not just a feel good experience.  There is a reason and a design for all life.  God’s words in Jeremiah remind me that my own plans however right they may feel to me, are not what I’m here for.  There is hope!  I’ve fallen flat on my face spiritually many times before I realized God’s design, His plan for my life is the only thing that will truly make me happy.  I still find myself on my knees having to be reminded.  Time and age is limitless with our God.  God’s purpose is timeless.

We do live in a youth obsessed culture.  It may be hard to keep His design for each of us in focus.  But God is with us every day if we are willing to open our lives to His voice and His vision.  Intergenerational mission is something we talk a lot about at God’s Grace.  God knew it would take Waves of older folks, as well as the young, to bring Christ’s message of Love, Peace, and light into a hurting world.

Below are some fun facts to share.  Did you know?

“Mary was only a teenager when she traveled to Bethlehem and gave birth to the most precious baby this world will ever know.”

“Abraham and Sarah had celebrated many decades of black balloon birthdays by the time God surprised them with Isaac.  (Both births were crucial to God’s plan)”

“David was just a young lad when he brought down Goliath with a slingshot and saved his country.”

“Moses began on foot, the greatest journey of his life at age 80.”

“Corrie ten Boom left the horrors of a Nazi concentration camp at age 56 and started a missionary journey that lasted 30 years.”

I’m reminded each morning when I wake up that God hands us new life each day.  He accepts us each morning just as we are.  We just have to accept that we are His.

Father God,
Thank you for the grace of Jesus that has opened the door.  I now know you accept me as I am, whatever stage in life.  Thank you for His love that encircles me, for His blood that cleanses me, for His mercy that is a friend to me...Thank you for calling me your child.  For blessing me each morning with a new day filled with possibilities.

I enjoyed your message. It is not my plans but Gods plan for my life that matters.
