On the Path

Dear People of Abundance,

In John 10:10, when Jesus talks of the “... abundant life,” what is he referring to? Is it only for those in large mansions with chauffeurs?

German Theologian Dr. Karl Barth, in “The Christian Life: Church Dogmatics IV" page 97 says, ”Jesus Christ himself did not come into the world to live for himself there in an alien, unknown, and superior glory. Even in his resurrection and ascension he did not retreat into separation from the world. On the contrary, it was for the world and not himself that he acted and that he still acts, seated at the right hand of the Father as God’s plenipotentiary to all.”

Do you want to have an “abundant life”? Are you willing to give your life away to community to gain the purpose in life which bring abundance?

Let us trust in Jesus the ultimate ambassador (plenipotentiary) who represents us in the heavens conferring powers from high to guide us onto the path that leads to the “Abundant life.”

For further reflection read John 10.

Still in one peace,
Pastor David J. Jensen
