No Outsiders

Jesus was walking along the beach. He invited two brothers, Simon Peter and Andrew, who were fishermen to follow him so that he could teach them to fish for people. Then he saw two other brothers, James and John, and called them too. And they all did, right away and off Jesus went, with them following, teaching, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, healing and curing. Matthew 4:18-23

We want to follow Jesus as he proclaims the good news of the Kingdom – but we’re not sure how. Perhaps we are afraid to share the good news because we think we’ll get it wrong. But Desmond Tutu tells us that “We are made for goodness. We are made for love. We are made for friendliness. We are made for togetherness. We are made for all of the beautiful things that you and I know. We are made to tell the world that there are no outsiders. All are welcome.” That’s Jesus’ message to us in a nutshell and wow, it’s not too hard.

We’ll be looking for you tomorrow at 10:00 am as we gather for worship and to empower one another in sharing the good news of the kingdom of God. Pastor Dave’s friend, Dan Gonzales will be with us as they share the message. It won’t be the same without you.

Lord, take me where you want me to go,

Let me meet who you want me to meet

Tell me what you want me to say,

And keep me out of your way. Rev. Mychal Judge

Grace be with you,
