No Excuses Needed

Dear Latecomers,
So this devotional should have been in to Andrea Heshmati our Executive Devotional Editor and Director (EDED) by at least 5pm yesterday. Instead I just finished it up a few minutes ago after receiving a reminder from the EDED. I am sorry I did not get it done sooner.  There is  a long list of things I could rattle off to let you know how busy I am, excuses abound!
But the fact is I missed the deadline. The EDED was very gracious. Others who noticed were merciful as well. When we acknowledge our error great or small it seems that more often than not, love and mercy is the response. One of those ways we see Christ I guess as others reveal the divine attributes of Jesus to us through human flesh and blood.
Another reason I remain hopeful that Christ works through my vulnerabilities and failings is that  I am not in this alone. In Matthew 18:20 Jesus says “…wherever two or three gather in my name there I am also..”  God seems to enjoy showing up and showing off the most in the midst of community. As I was typing up the worship order for Sunday, one of my excuses this morning that  kept me too busy to do my devotion, I stopped in prayer to ponder the shear miracle of the people Jesus has gathered to carry out the mission God’s Grace Community Church (GGCC) is centered in.
We are blessed this Sunday (September 18) to have ordained minister Shawn DeBerry-Johnson the Director of Community Affairs in Denver Mayor Hancock’s office as our guest preacher. We have invited all of our mission partners to be present. Those who plan to be there include:
Paris elementary…Francis Pomber and Linda Pounds
The Gathering Place … Ashley Boland
Open Door … Rev Leon Kelly
Extreme Community Makeover  …Scott Zimmerman
Confluence Ministries….  Jude and Cindy Delhierro
Love Light and Melody….. Brad Corrigan and Daisy Wiberg
That is an impressive  list of people. I reflect upon the missional tribe named GGCC and I see dozens of faces.  The Lord whispers in my(our) ear, “Get done what you can David James (insert your name) , follow in my ways, and keep in mind it is by my grace , mercy, and love that anything transpires.” We are all  part of a grand community of saints and sinners called into service in my name. You are not alone.  No excuses needed.
Please hold this Sunday's service in your prayers. May we all live in the communal grace, mercy, and love of our Lord.
*We will be givng away 100% of Sunday's offering to our mission partners. May the gift of generosity only God can generate stir among us...*
Still in One Peace,
Pastor David J. Jensen

Howdy this is somewhat of off topic but I was wanting to
know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually
code with HTML. I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding know-how so I wanted
to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!

I am really impressed with your writing skills as well as with the layout on your blog.
Is this a paid theme or did you modify it yourself?
Anyway keep up the excellent quality writing, it is rare to see a great blog like this one today.
