Never Grow Up

When our boys were growing up, one of our family’s favorite movies was “Hook” starring Robin Williams as Peter Banning/Peter Pan. The take-away is never grow (all the way) up: remember the joy and wonder of childhood; use your imagination, play, trust, be loyal, be kind and be giving. Don’t get so busy you let relationship shrivel up and die.

There’s one scene where Peter the lawyer tells his son Jack to stop acting like a child. Jack says, "but I am a child!"

Jesus tells us to never stop acting like a child. (Mark 10:13-16)

It’s with joy and wonder and imagination and play and trust that we are able to enter the kingdom of heaven.

Have you acted like a child lately? Why not?

We’ll be looking for you tomorrow at 9:00 or 10:30 am as we gather to remind one another to act like children. It won’t be the same without YOU.

Grace be with you,
