“Now we see things imperfectly as in a cloudy mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.” 1 Corinthians 13 Vs. 12
I look forward to Wednesdays, just as I look forward to Sunday mornings. I have two days into a new week.
I’m beginning to notice that I crave interaction with my sisters at the women’s bible study. It’s natural, an innate soul thing when I consent to be part of this community it evolves into the greater communion we have with one another. When I meet with these women I get to try on a greater wholeness. For a time I might actually get to experience being more. It’s a sort of grace. They help me to realize the direction I’m going in, how it feels when I experience a new book, or share stories and prayers. The fit is different for each of us. The wholeness we seek can be trapped in us by ingrained beliefs and self doubt. The love we share, coaxes that which is whole in us out, what exists in us now. Together we call upon it for guidance, wisdom and direction. Together we call upon it for comfort and ultimate peace. With time we might all come to grow and live by it. For the courage to face each day, for your love that is the joy in our lives, we give you thanks.
Our Abba,
Thank you for moments that connect us. For times spent in silence with you and for those times spent in community with others. Help us to see you in each person we meet. Help us see you in the needs of others. In these times grant us greater wisdom and compassion, a desire for your justice. For your love and the abundance of chances to live life through you, we give thanks. Amen
Lois
