Master Poet

Dear Imaginative,

“Thunder in the desert!

‘Prepare God’s arrival!

Make the road smooth and straight!

Every ditch will be filled in,

Every bump smoothed out,

The detours straightened out,

All the ruts paved over.

Everyone will be there to see

The parade of God's salvation.”

John the Baptist quoting the Old Testament Poet Isaiah.

(Luke 3:4-6 The Message translation)

We need a God who can cut through the clutter of our sin and create a clear path to where life can be imagined anew.

“Reality is not ever to be taken "as is,” but is always under negotiation.” ~ Walter Brueggemann

Reality is no longer a fixed arrangement, but an ongoing, creative, constitutive task in which the imagination has a role to play. The world as taken for granted is not a given, but rather an imaginative laboratory. It can be construed differently.

The prophets of Israel were not primarily carping social critics. They were imaginative poets. Never forget that our word “poet” comes from the Greek “poets” meaning “maker.” A poet is an artist who, through words, imagines and thereby creates an alternative new world for us to live in.

Where do you desire fresh imagination?  Your God is a Master Poet ever ready to create anew.

Prayers: For the sick, homeless and all who mourn.  We pray with thanksgiving that generosity abounded and it appears that the $59,000 God’s Grace Community Church (GGCC) was in the red at the start of December was reduced to just over $3,000 at years end, thanks be to God! For my brother, Pastor Mark Jensen who turned 56 on Monday the 7th. Blessings to Mark and his wife Karla and their ministry in Hamburg, PA.

One of my favorite poets or artists is Jeff Bridges. He won the Cecil B. Demille award at Sunday night’s Golden Globes.  For playing a country music singer in “Crazy Heart” he earned an Oscar.

If you’ve ever ”missed the point,” let Christ write a new poem within you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSdI1lD2zkU

“Thunder in the desert! Prepare for Gods arrival!” Says the poet Isaiah.

Still in One Peace, Pastor David J. Jensen

Your favourite reason appeared to be on the net the easiest thing to be aware of.

with no need side-effects , other folks could take
a signal. Will likely be back to get more.
Thanks

I think everything posted made a ton of sense. But, what about this?

suppose you were to write a killer title? I am not saying your information is not
good., however suppose you added a title to possibly grab people's attention? I mean Master Poet | God s
Grace Community Church is a little boring. You ought to glance at Yahoo's home page and watch
how they create post headlines to grab people to open the links.
You might try adding a video or a pic or two to grab people excited about everything've written. In my opinion, it would bring your posts a little bit more interesting.
