Isaiah 30:21-Contemporary English Version (CEV)
Whether you turn to the right or to the left, you will hear a voice saying, “This is the road! Now follow it.”

I don’t like to be lost. Don’t get me wrong I have a bit of an adventurer in me and I rather enjoy finding new ways to get where I am going. But sometimes you just need a map. Thank Heavens for MapQuest and Google maps, they provide those easy access maps for us all to find our way in the world. But like everything else on the internet…they are not always right.

Sometimes you just have to stop and ask directions.

Isn’t that true with life too? Most days I can muddle through fairly well on my own. Then I get a little too confident and forget take the time to ask directions from the one who guides my path. I get off course and things don’t go very smoothly. That is when I hear that quiet voice behind me saying, “Follow me, my path is much easier than the one you are on. Trust me, I will walk with you and show you the way.”

If you are like me and enjoy finding new ways to get where you are going, don’t forget to stop and ask directions. God will take you on some amazing adventures along the way.

Abba thank-you for not giving up on me when I get lost and forget to ask you directions.                         Thank-you for your voice in the stillness that tells me: “This is the road! Now Follow it.”
