Love Flood

I saw a young man at a worship service playing piano and singing a song that was just wonderful to hear.  I think God was smiling listening to his wonderful singing.  That young man was a recovering alcoholic.  His ministry was  to spread worship music and testimony to those who are trying to recover from alcoholism.  I am sure he went through so much pain and hardship trying to get out of the control of alcohol.  He went through trials, made the recovery, and now trying to help others.  God mended him into a fully restored person because God pours love into his heart.

Love conquers pain.

I saw a group of us a while back helping clean backyards.  Everybody coming together for one cause and it was wonderful.  The area looked so much better than before and I am sure the people were grateful for all our help.  The job was big and there was no way one person can do it by themselves.  Professionals just cost way too much.  It was a wonderful ministry to gather people together to help beautify the neighborhood.  The house that I helped with was in desperate need.  The person living there had medical handicaps and there was no way they could get it done.  We felt good after helping.  Both sides gained from that experience.

Love conquers the helpless.

Have you ever been in situations where everything is attacking you from all sides?  I felt like I was in quicksand and the more I tried to get out the more I sank into the sand.  If you let God take you by the heart, God will pull you out of that sand, dust you off, and you will be ready for any challenges that come ahead.  God mends broken hearts.  God fills hearts with wonderful love.

Love conquers all.

In Christ,

Stan
