Look and You Will See

We moved to a new house last September, and are now enjoying the first springtime awakening on our new property. Though we owned the house last spring, since we hadn't moved in yet, we missed out on seeing some early spring blooms, or more likely, we were focused on other things and just missed them. Last year the severe May freeze, followed by the Japanese beetle invasion, wiped out the apple blossoms (no apples later) and the grapevines (no grapes later.) This spring has been an entirely different story! In April and May we enjoyed good temps, sufficient rains, no late freezes and minimal hail damaging storms, causing the landscape to flourish! I discovered 3 lilac bushes I didn't know we had! The flower bed sprouted bleeding hearts, lupine, Siberian iris and more. And the roses...have you noticed how beautiful the roses are as you drive the neighborhood streets?

No doubt, all of the same flowers and bushes were here last year. I just didn't see them. Or maybe I wasn't looking? Makes me think  of what else might be right out there, but I'm not seeing it...The past months we've been talking a lot about what it is God is saying to us, and WHAT are we going to do about it. It's possible that we all need to open our eyes a bit wider, look more closely. What God wants us to see, to hear, just may be in plain sight, in front of us.
