Life's Weather

What’s Your Forecast?

Sunshine. Cloudy. Rain. Thunderstorms. Drought.

When the sun is shining brightly in our life, it’s easy to embrace and bask in it’s nurturing warmth.

But when the clouds appear and bring the rain and storms, it’s knowing Jesus that sustains us until rays of light peek through.

Without the rain, there would be no growth. The rain helps us appreciate the sun.

You visit the earth and cause it to overflow; You greatly enrich it; The stream of God is full of water; You prepare their grain, for thus You prepare the earth. Your water its furrows abundantly, You settle its ridges, You soften it with showers, You bless its growth. Psalm 65: 9-10

But what about the drought when we are desperate for a drink to quench our thirst?

It’s knowing Jesus that helps us endure. We hold his hand. He holds ours. He is the River of Life.

I cared for you in the wilderness, in the land of drought. Hosea 13:5

Whatever the forecast, Jesus makes the sun, the rain, the storms and the drought all work in our favor to grow and nourish us. With Him we can withstand all the elements and come out stronger.
