Letting Go

I just finished packing my brother’s house. He and his family moved to London for the next 2 years. They ran out of time and left the rest for us to sort and pack. Going through someone else’s stuff inspired Randy and I to take a second look at our own “stuff” and do some letting go! So we took a weekend to go through boxes. We consolidated some, gave away others and did a lot of shredding. When we were finished we had more to share with charity, more to recycle, and more space in our storage room.

What is your treasure? As I get older and hopefully wiser, I realize the only true treasures that I long to hold on to are the people in my life. Those relationships mean more to me than all the “stuff” that clutters my home and depletes my energy.

But even if I were to lose all of those people, there is one treasure that no one can ever take from me.  Faith. I believe. I believe and know God. I believe and know that God will always have my back. That my friends, is treasure worth storing in your hearts forever!

Julie Weldon

19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
