Let's Laugh

It’s Church and it’s funny.

On April 19th, Pastor Dave preached on Holy Humor Sunday or Joke Sunday. Basically, sharing the story of how Jesus had played a joke on Satan, and rose from the dead. He had risen, He has risen indeed.

That Sunday we laughed a little bit, told a few jokes, “gathered and worshipped“ together. During this time, I think we need a bit of humor. We need to laugh; we need to take a break from our worries.

As I mentioned before when I write my devotions, I feel like I fall short. Reading the devotions from others lifts me up. I “hear” their voice in their devotion.

When we were getting ready for church, we were kind of joking around a bit. Here are a few more jokes, I hope you laugh, relax and take a break. God wants us to laugh. I want to help you laugh. So here goes:

What were the discarded titles Moses threw out when writing the book of Genesis ? 1) Ready or Not Here comes the Universe. 2) God Gets Busy 3) Existence Gotta love it. Or 4- none of the above

During a lively game of basketball- Peter denies Jesus three times.

Birds of Pray- Give us this day our daily worm.

You idiot- He said cast the nets, not castanets.

Evandalism: God loves You.

One of the little known parables of healing the man with poor fashion sense- wearing black socks with his sandals.
