Learning to Be Human

Matthew 6: 9-13~ 9 “Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. 10 “May your kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. 11 “Give us today the food we need, 12 “and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. 13”And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.” NLT

In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus is teaching us the will of his father. Jesus tells us that God is not only holy and Lord of all, but is also loving and compassionate. The heavenly Father is loving and personal. One of the hardest things for me to learn is to listen with the spirit and not just the head. God’s will and love is spacious enough to accommodate everything about us, what’s in our hearts, our heads and our feelings. He knows what lies in our subconscious and what we hold in our memories. We don’t have to prove or defend anything with God; just let him help us to see who we truly are in him.

As I prepare to step into this new phase of life, I pray that I might learn of the freedom that comes with letting go. I pray that I might have the discipline to rest in the Lord, to listen in hopes of hearing Christ. Christ came and keeps coming into my life, to teach me how to be more human. Being human means caring for and being part of, to stand up for what is right and the courage to name what is wrong. In the chaos that swirls around us, we can show others they are called to be human too, as children of God.

Father God, Help me to discipline myself to rest in you. May your spirit be alive in me. Mold me to be more compassionate and giving. To stand up for what is right, to see you in all people and in all creation. Thank you for those you have put in my path who lead and guide. Thank you most of all for the gift of your son, Jesus. Amen

Hi! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering if you knew where I could locate a captcha plugin for
my comment form? I'm using the same blog platform as yours and I'm having trouble finding one?
Thanks a lot!

Hello would you mind sharing which blog platform you're working with?
I'm going to start my own blog soon but I'm having a hard
time selecting between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.

The reason I ask is because your design and style
seems different then most blogs and I'm looking for something unique.
P.S My apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
