This week’s bad Jesus habit is procrastinating. I can relate. I understand procrastinating. It’s an easy trap to fall into. It seems the urgent always gets in the way of priorities; or something more fun than housecleaning comes up.

But Jesus’ bad habit of being a procrastinator might be something different. After all, pretty much everything about Jesus’ life has something to teach us.

Jesus didn’t always get to where he was wanted/needed on time. People died, and Jesus was slow getting there. Why would Jesus procrastinate in these situations? That’s perhaps what we need to consider. Was he just a procrastinator or was there something to teach us?

God’s timing doesn’t always match up with our timing (if you haven’t noticed!) Take a moment to read Luke 8:40-56 and reflect on why you think Jesus procrastinated and what impact it might have in your life.

We’ll be looking for you tomorrow at 9:00 or 10:30 am as we gather to worship, praise and thank our God. As we remember that all we have and are is a gift from God. It won’t be the same without you.

Grace be with you,
