Just Breathe

Many of us face difficult times, uncertainties in our future whether financial, health issues or difficulties within our families. I know in my heart we carry God with us daily everywhere we go. Praise and thankfulness plant seeds of joy within my heart.

I can’t wrap my arms around the challenges the Apostles faced. Jesus, continually urged them to rejoice always, in everything give thanks, and they did in circumstances I can only imagine. Still they continued to turn their face toward God. They knew with God their soul would live and grow. They took to heart Jesus’ words in Matthew 6:25-29.

25: “Do not worry about everyday life-whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food and your body more than clothing? 26: Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for our Heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to Him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? 28: And worry about clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing. 29: Yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as these.”

How full of praise God’s word is.

Matthew 13:4-8. “The Parable of the Sower”

4: “And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them. 5: Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth. 6: But when the sun was up they were scorched and because they had no root they withered away. 7: And some fell among thorns and the thorns sprang up and choked them. 8: But others fell on good ground and yielded a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

So, I try to remind myself daily, to be planted in God’s grace. God’s unhindered, boundless love that is poured out on us in an infinite variety of ways. Even though we don’t deserve it or often do not understand it. His grace comes from His measureless heart of love.

Thank you Father, that one by one your grace, your healing spirit, touches everything within us that needs your healing and blessing. Father, we pray for generous hearts that will extend your love and our gifts to others. For the healing and blessings in my life, I give you thanks. Amen
