It's Real

Are the places and stories we read in the Bible true? Sometimes it’s hard to know about things that happened more than 2,000 years ago.

I had the humbling opportunity to travel to Israel. I got to see a lot of really old things…like buildings and walls well more than 2,000 years old. Some places are “tradition holds” that this was here. But some places, like the Jordan River, are real.

The Jordan River, between the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea. A google search says it’s mentioned more than 175 times in the Bible. It’s where the Israelites crossed into the Promised Land. It’s where Jesus was baptized.

And, I was there! Incredible and moving and faith-transforming.

Come tomorrow and hear stories from our group who went to the Holy Land. It won’t be the same without you. 9:00 or 10:30 a.m. Then stay for lunch at Noon downstairs in the RCHS Commons; it’s Taco Time!

Grace be with you,

PS: Happy Veteran’s Day to our vets. Your stories are real and true, too.
