It's A Process

Dear Vineyard Dwellers,

“I am the Real Vine and my Father is the Farmer. He cuts off every branch that doesn’t bear grapes.” John 15:1-2 -Message translation.

The material in the fifteenth chapter of John points to a sometimes painful pruning process.  God’s works to create the best in God's vineyard.

“God will continue clipping until so-called Christians repent of racism and bigotry; until Skid Rows are replaced by avenues of compassion and streets of hope; until child neglect is replaced by child nurture; until murder, abuse, and rape yield to mutual respect,… God will keep on clipping until the kingdoms of this world become the kingdoms of our God and until the government rests on God's shoulders.

God will keep on clipping until everyone who wants to work will find it; until black, white, red, or brown will have access to full productive lives...” - Wallace Charles Smith, “The True Vine,“ Pulpit Digest, Jan –Feb 1995

What needs to be pruned away from you, from our community, our nation, and our world, so that God’s vision of a fresh creation of the Kingdom of God might come to be?

Read John 15:1-8 for further reflection.

Prayers: That we allow God to prune what needs to be taken away.  For the victims of violence in a Nashville Waffle house and all who have been wounded in this world by violence.

Still in One Peace,

Pastor David J. Jensen

help from an established blog. Is it difficult to set up your own blog?

I'm not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick.

I'm thinking about setting up my own but I'm not sure where
to start. Do you have any ideas or suggestions? Cheers
