Hear Our Prayer

Dear Mourners,

In Las Vegas this week, it was Good Friday once again. Our Lord Jesus Christ, the one crucified, took bullets and laid in the pools of blood with the wounded.

(Let us pray…Lord have mercy...hear our prayer.)

For those feeling desperation in the status quo, remember change is coming!  In  “The Beatitudes” Matthew 5:1-12  and we read the good news that God flips all things upside down. The way of suffering and violence will not last forever.

(Let us pray…Lord have mercy…hear our prayer.)

In John the 9th chapter, we find the story of the man born blind. We, who are blind to how Christ works in the midst of suffering, are bestowed the miracle of sight.

(Let us pray….Lord have mercy…hear our prayer.)

In Romans 5:5-8,  Paul reminds us that when we are “…weak and rebellious…” God comes into our midst.

(Let us pray …Lord have mercy….hear our prayer.)

Prayers: For those with mental illness, for those who mourn the shootings in Las Vegas, and for all in need of healing.

Note: It is not too late to participate in Extreme Community Makeover this Saturday.Sometimes when we don't know what to do in the midst of tragedy, it helps to get out and help others. Here's a link to sign up if you'd like to serve and with more details. http://ggcc.publishpath.com/extreme-community-makeover-sign-up

Still in One Peace,
