Have Faith

Have you ever just put your "blinders" on and stopped paying attention to things around you? Gone into your "own little world" so to speak?  I have. Sometimes it's to "shut the world out," and all the negative things that are happening.  Other times it's to focus on the things going on in my own life... perhaps a defense mechanism of sorts.  What are some reasons that you put on your blinders?  Whatever the reason, it is important that we remember that while we feel we must do this for a period of time, it is also important to allow God's gifts to shine thru ... one such gift, the gift of friendship. True friends are with us not only during the good times, but also the tough times.  Another gift is the gift of Faith.

I was looking thru my phone the other day and I ran across this picture.  I think I found it on Facebook, or perhaps someone sent it to me ... I don't remember exactly, but for some reason I felt the need to save it and to hold onto it.  This picture has become one of my favorites and I was reminded that even though there are all sorts of things going on in my life, others around me are also going through things.  It reminded me that if we trust and have Faith, we will get to the next destination in our journey.  And we don't have to journey alone, God will give us a bridge to get from one place to another and bring people in and out of our life to help us along the way.

I sometimes forget to have Faith and try to walk the journey alone.  It usually doesn't end up too well and I am Blessed by God and the friends I have in my life, the ones that are there thru the good times and the bad.

What does Faith look like to you?  it may be different for each of us, but I would encourage you to have Faith and know that God is there, even when we may forget.

I will close with Psalm 121, one of my favorite scriptures ... may you find your Strength and your Faith ...

Psalm 121 -A song of ascents.

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber;

Indeed, he who watches over Israel,
 will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord watches over you—
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;

The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all harm —he will watch over your life;

The Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.
