Grace and Strength

“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”                      ~2 Corinthians 12:9

For though He was crucified in weakness, yet He lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you.                      ~2 Corinthians 13:4

How many times have we faced challenges, feeling weak and unable to cope with what is ahead of us? In the end, through the power of God, we are strengthened and made new by rising to challenges we face with the help of God. As we prepare to start a new Lenten journey, I pray for new beginnings and a strength for the challenges ahead. May this Lenten journey be a time to reflect and grow in faith. Take time to grow in God’s word.

Dear God, help us to clear the obstacles in our lives so we might focus on Your Word during this Lenten season. Help us to lead a good example that is pleasing to you and inviting to others to share your love. We are weak and you are powerful. We are in need of your grace, love, and guidance. Lead us through the darkness and into the light by your grace and strength. In your holy name we pray, Amen.
