God is Love

Finding God in our lives can sometimes be nowhere near the top of our to-do lists. It is even harder when you are afraid of your to-do list. My list consisted of getting in shape for college athletics, buying books, getting ready to move to another state, and anticipating the loss of a friend. Getting in shape was hard because I had no idea how hard I was going to be working at the college level so I was very intimidated by what I needed to complete. Needless to say I was not ready at all, I have never worked so hard in my life. Buying books was stressful because it made me worry about getting the right ones, finding cheap versions, and trying to get them delivered in time. It wasn't really a big deal but because it was this week everything stressed me out. I was very nervous about moving away, even if it is pretty close. I was nervous to meet a roommate who has never been to America before, I didn't know if I would find new friends, and I was excited to experience life on my own. The hardest part of getting ready to leave was getting ready for another part of my life leaving. My dog had cancer and we knew that his time was short. A few days before I left for college we decided he was in too much pain to keep going. Losing a friend, even an animal friend, can make you even more nervous to find new friends. My list didn't include searching for God, at first. Only when I realized what God is to me did I realize why I needed to search. God is love. The best cure for stress, nervousness, uncertainty, and sadness, is love. Whether its from a family member, another dog, friends, a girlfriend, or great people that you thought you'd never meet , love can make you accept everything that’s happening and maybe even take some of the weight off of your shoulders. When I went to other people I saw God in them and I saw love. Love can help any situation, no matter how big or how small. I encourage everyone to look for God in others or show others God in you. You never know when somebody just needs someone to show some kindness.

Why people still use to read news papers when in this technological globe the whole thing is accessible on web?
